However, at this age, Roman McConn started to recruit animals, with the help of his mom Jennifer. For his fourth birthday, instead of asking for presents, he asked his family and friends to donate to a Texas-based animal rescue.
Now, three years after that, this little hero has already saved more than 40 unwanted cats, and 1,300 dogs!
Roman is trying to help the animals that are in need the most, like the ones enlisted for euthanasia in the shelters.
His mom Jennifer, is recording a video every time he’s playing with a homeless cat or dog, and then she posts it on Facebook on their fan page, in order to help them get adopted!
The staff from the shelter claim that Roman is the real ‘dog whisperer’ as before playing with them, he’s talking to the animals, and therefore reveals their personalities.
Roman is completely devoted to the improvement of animal welfare and says that ‘dogs should not be in a shelter, they have to do stuff.’
